We were the first to launch medical certificates online in Australia and in the world. We are leaders in our field through thoughtful innovation and a caring and empathic approach to our patient’s needs.

We were also the first online medical related business in Australia if not the world to donate $1 from every medical certificate issued to a charity of our patient’s choosing.

We want to be innovators with substance caring about our patients and influencing the type of world we want live in and want to live in.
 
Right from the beginning we've gone out to build and deliver a service hard working Australians would value. This has been our objective pure and simple. It’s not been without it’s challenges but nothing good ever is.
 
We haven't gone out to be different for the sake of being different. We've simply wanted to build a service that is convenient, affordable and accessible. Something everyone would want to use and recommend.
 
We wanted to eliminate waiting and put the patient at the centre of the service. No more travelling. No more waiting rooms. Eliminate paperwork. Minimise fees and charges. Simplify patient cash flows.
 
The concept of the service is new to Australians particularly involving doctors. But the principles are universally known and accepted - convenience, savings, access, straight forward care.
 
Through the process we've challenged pre-conceived notions around health care and how doctors deliver medical support to patients. We never expected it would be so challenging for people within the health care industry to accept when there are so many examples of this type of service operating in other industries throughout the world and within Australia.
 
Along the way we've challenged the accepted norms around health care in Australia. Some of these assumptions have been:

·       doctors can only see patients face to face.

·       health care services can only operate if supported by Medicare and linked to medicare item numbers. 

·       the implicit assumption is that health care is and has to be expensive and some part of government has to pay some 'gap' portion for every medical service offered.

·       doctors wouldn't support the service because its simply not the way they have traditionally operated.

·       online health care is not real health care.

This thinking has been created, accepted and imposed on people by a system that has been prescriptive toward medical providers and patients alike.
 
We didn't accept and at times quite frankly, we didn't spend any time considering some stuff because it didn't make sense to waste time on things that didn't align with our objective - a service by patients for patients.
 
Why spend anytime reinforcing the status quo when everyone knows it no longer adequately serves the patients it was designed to serve? While we don't think the system is broken, we do believe there is an opportunity to make improvements.
